My name is Jamela and I am new to the blogging scene. First and foremost, let me just say that I am not a professional writer, nor am I a professional advisor of any sort. I am merely a woman starting a new venture in creative expression through blogging.
“So, Why Blogging?”
I’ve had a secret love affair with writing for years, but I’ve never been bold enough to share any of my material. With this in mind, I established 3 main goals that I expect to achieve from this new blogging endeavor:
1) Breaking Out of My Shell: I would consider myself to be an open and easygoing person, but at the same time I can be very shy and private (#shygirlproblems). My goal here is to simply be more confident and comfortable with sharing who I truly am. I just want to be my fun, lovable, and happy self 100% of the time. The shy girl can stay in the past.
2) Fun & Pretty: Being that I already love writing, I feel that bringing it to the web will make it even more enjoyable. There isn’t anything wrong with the traditional pen to paper method, but with blogging I can be more creative by adding visuals and more. It’s all about doing what I love and having fun being me on an open platform. #makeitpretty
3) Let it Go: I have (what feels like) a million and one thoughts per day, so writing has always been a great way for me to free up some headspace. Now that I’m transitioning to blogging, I like the idea of being able to share my thoughts and experiences with others. And who knows… maybe I’ll gain a follower or two and even get a few responses. I’d love the opportunity to hear from those who share similar interests (#followme). To sum it up, my final goal is to free my mind, while being more media friendly/social.
What You Can Expect Each Week:
Each week you’ll see new stories about my personal life experiences, my thoughts and opinions on everyday topics, love and friendship, traveling, beauty and fashion, and so much more! I’m hoping that I’ll be able to connect with other beauties out there. Beauties that love life, have something to say, and are seeking to become better versions of themselves with each new day.
Let the new adventure begin!
