As August gradually comes to a close, I want to take a moment to reflect on my blogging journey. I can’t believe that I am nearing the end of my 3 months mark of blogging already. I am extremely ecstatic with all that I have done and accomplished so far.
I’ve enjoyed writing for years, but was never comfortable enough to share it. The idea of starting a blog came to me a couple of years ago, but it wasn’t until earlier this year that I finally decided to take a chance at it. For the first several months I worked on building my image, learning about web and the dos and don’ts of blogging, etc.. Finally in June I went live! Such a scary moment for me, but I’m glad I finally did it.
For the past 8 months I’ve been taking baby steps and approaching this blogging thing very cautiously. I have a lot of ideas for the near and distant future, but I still have a lot to learn about blogging. I will continue to take my time with this, while watching it grow little by little. Blogging is all very new to me.
I started this blog not only because I enjoy writing, but because I was in need of an outlet that would allow me to express myself wholeheartedly on subjects that interest me most. I want to be able to reach out to people in ways that I would not normally be able to in my real day to day life. I’m hoping that by taking something that I love to do and growing it into something much more, that I have or will eventually inspire others to do the same.
Last but not least, I’d just like to thank everyone who has supported me so far. Your feedback, interests, and kind words have made this all worthwhile. You all help to keep me motivated to continue being more comfortable with sharing my true personality… no filter… just me as I am.
